Day 17-19 (4th – 7th August ’17)
Bangkok, Thailand
Day 17 – Took a walk around the city and went to see the giant reclining Buddha. Did see other temples as well. The Thais really respect their deceased King and his picture can be seen almost everywhere.
Day 18 – Went to Chatuchak Market, later to the city center and see for ourselves the Mahanakhon Tower. Sketched nothing of it though.
In the afternoon, they played their national anthem and when I was drawing the City Hall, I noticed that everyone stood up straight to pay respect while I was still sitting. In admiration of their spirit , I joined them.
Day 19 – Had breakfast and went to the train station to buy ticket to Kanchanaburi.
